Musical Theatre Halloween Party

Wednesday Night the Musical Theater Classes had a chance to "let their hair down" so to speak and have some fun.  There was lots of yummy food and great costumes (except for Emily - is that a plastic bag on her head?)  The Emerald Company have been good ghouls all year and hope to scare up some treats on Friday night.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!  (Don't forget about the Company Party with RUBY on Nov. 1st

Summer Intensives and Other Opportunities

This summer many of our dancers had the opportunity to audition for summer intensive programs and other performances. Here is a sample of where some of them did this summer. Our dancers were all over the country this summer and brought back with them new insites and knowledge from talented teachers from all over the world.
Ashley Blake & Holly Gustaveson (along with Braydon Morgan) attended 6 weeks at the American Academy of Ballet in Westchester, New York (40 minutes NE of Manhattan). Chelsea Sweeney joined them for the second half of the intensive. The stayed on Campus at Purchase College and were able to go into New York City a few times to see some Broadway Plays. They wrapped it up with a Gala Performance at the Pepsico Concert Hall.

McKenzie Morgan was acepted to study with the American Ballet Theater at the University of Alabama "Crimson Tide" Campus. She spent 3 weeks on campus and was placed in the most advanced group. The final performance was an amazing display of young talent. Way to go McKenzie! We are so proud of you.
Maddie Bowie may be in 9th Grade, but she recently was in High School! As a dancer filming High School Musical 3. This comes out in the Theaters on October 24th and we are looking forward to see if we can get a glimps of her! Nice job, Maddie!

Alex Larson, Emily Tate and Tavia Orr were all acepted and attended the Rock School Summer Ballet Intensive. This is a very prestigeous school and we are so proud of the these guys. Alex received a full scholorship to attend. 6 weeks seems like such a long time to be gone but it flew by with so much going on. There final perfomance was amazing! They were also able to go into New York for some fun.

Miranda Larson spent some time this summer in New York City at the Radio City Music Hall's Rockette Summer Intensive. She then went over to Pace University on Scholorship for a Theatre program. Miranda is such an amazing talent and so versitile. She is helping teach the company what she learned as a Rockette for the Christmas Show. Nice job, Miranda.
Whitley Osborn spent the summer at Tuachan performing in High School Musical as "Gabrielle". She did an amazing job and it was said that she did a better job then Vanessa Hudgens! We are expecting big things from Whittley in the future!

Maria Allen auditioned and was one of very few who were acepted to study at the Alvin Ailey summer dance intensive. This is a very difficult company to get in to and we are so proud of Maria for this great accomplishment. Although she was unable to attend, just knowing that she was chosen was amazing in itself. Congrats, Maria!
